Contest On The Glass Castle
All first-semester EKU students are invited to enter an 800-1,000 word
essay in response to the following question:
"What values and/or character traits do you see Wall's upbringing as having instilled in her? In your own life, what values and/or traits have you inherited from your upbringing, and how are those traits helping you attain your goals?"
DEADLINE: October 15, 2009
Submission instructions:
- Submit a hard copy of your essay to the Office of First Year Programs, 372 SSB, CPO Box 65.
- Attach a separate sheet including your name, student ID number, and contact information. Your name should not appear on your essay.

Entries will be judged by the EKU Reads Committee.
PRIZES
- First prize: $500 scholarship
- second prize: $250 scholarship
- Honorable mention: $100 scholarship
All scholarships will be applied to Spring 2010 tuition.
