EKU Reads Program

The Glass Castle (2009 book selection)

The EKU Reads Project is designed to provide new students with a common introduction to academic life at EKU. Each fall semester, EKU engages in a campus-wide discussion of the book in a variety of first-year classes. First-year English courses and orientation courses often adopt the book; and other faculty members are encouraged to feature the book in their classes as well. You will receive a free copy of the book if it is used in any of your classes. Approximately 1500 students will participate this year.

An appearance by the author and a book signing are also featured as part of the EKU Reads Project. The 2009 book is The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls. Her presentation will be September 16, 2009 at 7pm; and family and guests are welcome to attend.
